DESPITE media reports that veteran dancehall deejay Bounty Killer was robbed of $500,000 in cash and kind last Friday, the police said they are yet to receive reports of such an incident.

According to several media reports the incident took place off the Waltham Park Road area in Kingston.

However, when the Jamaica Observer checked with the Hunts Bay Police Station, under whose purview the incident would have fallen, the officer in charge of the station Superintendent Arthur Brown said he had no report of such an incident.

“I have no knowledge of any such incident. Nothing of the sort has been reported, come to our attention. In fact, this is the first I am hearing of the incident.” the top-cop told the Observer.

Bounty Killer’s handlers would neither confirm nor deny the incident.

“I have no information to give,” Sharon Burke, the artiste’s manager said to our queries.

Social media has been abuzz with reports Bounty Killer was relieved of cash and kind by unscrupulous people in an area off the Waltham Park Road last weekend.

The robbery occurred about 9:00pm at an apartment complex along East Road ( off Waltham park road). He was robbed by three armed men of over five hundred thousand dollars, two high end cell phones and a Rolex watch. It is believed that one of the robbers received a chop wound to the hand by a female companion of Pryce during the ordeal.

Bounty Killer (whose real name is Rodney Price) is expected to celebrate his 44th birthday on Sunday, June 12 at Sabina Park in Kingston. The party is sponsored by popular cognac, Hennessy.
